Paintball + churrasco

The last weekend was time for radical sports!!
We organised a group os students to go paintballing the last sunday at Bray,one of the biggest paintball fields in Ireland.

Most of those players,as usual,never played before, this makes the game even more exciting.
8 hours of game,gorgeous weather,nice atmosfere, and of course lots of bullets..... and pain..

Presidente dos Estados Unidos na Irlanda.

US President Barack Obama took to the stage in Dublin at Dame street this evening in front of 100,000 people with the words, 'my name is Barack Obama, of the Moneygall Obamas.'

His family roots born in Ireland in a small town called Moneygall.

Mr Obama's great-great-great-great-grandfather was a shoemaker in the rural village and his son, Falmouth Kearney, left for New York in 1850.

O Presidente dos EUA, Barack Obama subiu ao palco em Dublin, na rua Dame streetpara um publico de 100.000 pessoas com as palavras "meu nome é Barack Obama, dos Obamas Moneygall.

Seus ancestrais nasceram na Irlanda em uma pequena cidade chamada Moneygall.

O tatataravo de Obama era um sapateiro na vila rural, e seu filho, Falmouth Kearney, partiu para Nova York em 1850.

              The last US president to visit Ireland was Bill Clinton in 1995, who also claimed Irish ancestry, though in his case no documentary proof was ever found.

O ultimo presidente americano a visitar a Irlanda foi Bill Clinton em 1995,que no qual tambem alegou ter decendencia irlandesa,porem nao foi comprovada.

Fun Flying festival set for May 22 at Dun Laoghaire Harbour.

Flugtag is a German word meaning ’flying day’. Schadenfreude is a German word meaning ‘pleasure derived from the misfortune of others’. These two concepts will come together on May 22 as contestants build and pilot a flying machine and launch themselves off a 30 foot high deck in the hope of flying the furthest and end up, usually, crashing spectacularly into the sea. This event may challenge the laws of physics and common sense, but it’s a fun day out...at least for the spectators. Head on down to Dun Laoghaire Harbour at 11:00 to join in the fun.

Fun Festival de vôo esta marcado para o dia 22 de maio no Porto de Dun Laoghaire.
Flugtag é "dia de voar" na lingua alemã. Schadenfreude é "o prazer derivado do infortúnio dos outros " uma palavra tambem originada do alemão. Estes dois conceitos irao se reunir no dia 22 de maio como concorrentes,irao construir e pilotar máquinas voadoras e lançar-se de uma plataforma de  30 metros de altura, na esperança de voar o mais longe, e acabam, geralmente, quebrando espetacularmente no mar. Esse evento pode desafiar as leis da física e senso comum.

The Queen in Ireland

Hey folks!

During this week Ireland is going through a remarcable moment,the Queen of England is visiting the island.The last visit to Ireland by a reigning British monarch was by the 84-year-old queen’s grandfather, King George V, in 1911, a decade before Ireland won independence from Britain.

Olá pessoal!
Durante esta semana a Irlanda está passando por um momento historico, a Rainha da Inglaterra esta visitando a ilha,a última visita à Irlanda por um monarca britânico reinante foi o  avô da rainha de 84 anos de idade, o rei George V, em 1911, uma década antes que a Irlanda conquistou sua independência da Grã-Bretanha.

As a results of the Queen Elizabeth's visit to Ireland there where protest all over Dublin,most of then protesting agains the fact what happened years and years ago when Ireland was occupaid by the British,

The front page os one of the most famous irish news paper (the Irish independent) says: "Hope that visit is "the end"

in a long chapter of violence and struggle".

The governament spend a overage of 20 milions euro in security to protect the Quen,it was so far one of the biggest securuty operation in the history of Ireland.

Good for those who could see a remarcable moment that for sure we gonna see in the future in books of history.

Como resultado da visita da Rainha Elizabeth para a Irlanda, há protestos por toda Dublin, a razao principal dos protestos e contra o fato que aconteceu há anos e anos atrás, quando a Irlanda foi ocupada pelos britânicos,
A primeira página de um dos jornais mais famosos da Irlanda (The Irish independent) diz: "Espero que a visita seja " o fim "
em um longo capítulo de violência e de luta ".
O Governo gastara um valor excedente de € 20 milhoes de euros em  segurança para proteger a Rainha, foi uma das maiores operacoes de seguranca na história da Irlanda.
Bom para quem presenciou esse momento historico que com certeza vamos ver no futuro nos livros de história.

3 days car trip around Ireland 2

Hi there!

We have had a great time the last weekend in Ireland. Once Again we organised a 3 days car trip around Ireland and  this time we had a huge group of students.All from diferent nationalities like Mexico,Germany,Switzerland and off course lots of brazilians.
We did the total of 1450 km around the southwest coast of Ireland.

If someone doesn't know,in Ireland we drive on the left side of the road,the same as in England.

we visited the most beautiful places in Ireland, like caves,castles,beaches,cliffs etc.
But the highlight of the trip definetly was the first night camping.We had a really nice BBQ and lots of beer.
