Formula One in Ireland!

Dublin Formula 1 Event 2012

Formula One cars will be racing on the streets of Dublin next year in an event which is expected to bring more than a quarter of a million people into the city.

The day-long demo will take place on June 3rd and the organisers expressed confidence that it would prove to be a significant boost to the local economy and would showcase some of the city's key landmarks to a global audience.

The demonstration race track will start at the Central Bank before passing Trinity College and going down Burgh Quay and crossing the Samuel Beckett bridge. The track ends on Custom House Quay.

Free View Zones
Over 96% of the viewing space for Bavaria City Racing Dublin is free to the public. Tickets are not required for entry to any of the green Free View Zones highlighted on the map. This is similar to how the event has been staged in other countries. Free view zones offer a fantastic opportunity for the general public to see the spectacular demonstrations of the world’s most exciting motor sports cars and bikes.

Ticketed Zones
The two main grandstand ticketed performance zones are highlighted in orange on the map above; O’Connell Bridge Grandstand and Custom House Quay Grandstand. The third ticketed performance zone is highlighted in pink on the map. This is the F1 Paddock zone directly opposite the National Convention Centre.
